Why it matters
Monthly invoice totals summarise the past; they do not show which shift or which line drove cost up. OSOS's 15-minute profile approaches the "when and how much" question — peak demand, demand penalty risk, night-base consumption, and anomalies become visible at this resolution. The first step in energy management is not the meter but the right measurement architecture; OSOS main meter data shows facility entry, and must be combined with sub-meters for line-level savings. Much of industry's electricity savings potential lies in invisible losses because they are not measured: night-shift idle lines, low load-factor compressors, and poorly tuned HVAC fall into this group. Regulations such as ISO 50001, EİVER, and CBAM also require consistent measurement data.
Impact on the bill
OSOS data is used to verify consumption (kWh) and demand items on distribution company invoices. In invoice reconciliation, OSOS profiles are cross-checked against invoice lines; unit price deviation and consumption difference are detected early. Reactive penalty risk can also be monitored via OSOS profile — inductive/capacitive ratio alerts arrive before billing. Hourly or 15-minute resolution shows load profile during time-of-use periods and supports contracted power excess and demand charge planning. In multi-site portfolios, hours of manual reconciliation per subscriber become automated deviation lists with OSOS integration.
How ENOPTIMAL tracks it
The ENOPTIMAL consumption management module combines OSOS integration with hourly/15-minute profiles for invoice verification, reactive alerts, and anomaly alarms. In multi-site portfolios, subscriber-level OSOS–invoice reconciliation runs from a central panel; unit price deviation reports are generated automatically.
