What is OSOS? OSOS (Automatic Meter Reading System) is the infrastructure that enables remote reading of electricity meters. In organized industrial zones and distribution areas, meters are read centrally; typical implementations produce 15-minute consumption profiles. Hourly or 15-minute data is the primary source for invoice reconciliation, peak load, and anomaly detection.

Why it matters

Monthly invoice totals summarise the past; they do not show which shift or which line drove cost up. OSOS's 15-minute profile approaches the "when and how much" question — peak demand, demand penalty risk, night-base consumption, and anomalies become visible at this resolution. The first step in energy management is not the meter but the right measurement architecture; OSOS main meter data shows facility entry, and must be combined with sub-meters for line-level savings.
